Log off on uplay and close it and then restart steam.Ĥ. If uplay is asking for one then that is a bug or error.ġ. If you bought on steam then you won't find any cd key because this game activates without one. I bought watchdogs 2 on steam and the WW uplay activation thing is in the dlc but when i go to launch the game it sitll asks for a CD key or activation code. people who don't own this game on steam but own other older titles assume its same type of activation but in reality they aren't. Its new method of activation on steam (which can be buggy at times) this game doesn't have cd key not if you bought it on steam. Only Ubisoft games purchased on Steam are bound to this DRM as well as uPlay as a dual layer but with Ubisoft games now none of their games require a key when obtained on Steam and can only be activated on linked accounts through first instance sign-in authenticity. If you have a key for the game it has to be a uPlay one only. All you can do is add it as a non-steam game. You don't appear to own Watch Dogs 2 on Steam so you cannot add it via key. I've used this method for several games in the paste, it will very most likely work for this one. Click Watch Dogs 2 and on the right it should say "CD Key", copy and paste that to the activation key on uPlay. You need to use the CD Key from your Steam in your Library.
